Pinched nerve ? Well we can help. Dr. Zvirbliss, has seen his fair share of different things in private practice. From “pinched nerve” to “pinched disc”. Can you have a pinched nerve? Yes and No….let me explain.
A pinched nerve is very difficult to have, however, it can happen. Most of the time, it is compressed. Medically it’s called a nerve root compression. This can be painfull. Patients will experience sharp/stabby pain in the area or sometimes they feel like pins/needles going down into the arm or leg. These are all symptoms of a “pinched nerve”.
Now more importantly research also shows us that the nerve can be trapped in between muscles, as the nerve makes it way down to different body parts. When the nerve is trapped like that, it can feel the same pins/needles feeling.
Remove the pressure off the nerve, then the pins/needles feeling goes away. Problem is it takes several treatments, from 8 to 20 sessions. It’s up to you though, do you want to get to the cause of the problem, or just take a pill to cover up the symptoms.
Remember pinched nerves, can happen anywhere along the spine. In the neck, midback, or low back. The tingling feeling can travel into the arm or leg. So make sure you seek a chiropractors help. Good luck. Let me know if you have any questions.
